Captain Copilot

Core skills training · a picture-book adventure in six chapters

Prompt. Create. Save the day.

Six short missions to master core Copilot skills — before Admiral Analogue drags the office back to the fax era.

Meet the villain

Dramatis Personae

Our hero and our villain, on facing pages, as tradition demands.

Captain Copilot

Our hero, mostly caffeinated

Powers: summarises at the speed of light, drafts with one eyebrow raised, always asks a good follow-up question. Weakness: vague prompts.

— 12 —

Admiral Analogue

Our villain, allergic to progress

Powers: carbon paper, the 400-page appendix, Reply All. Signature move: the Filing Cabinet Avalanche. Weakness: a well-structured prompt.

— 13 —

The Enchanted Gadgets

Three small spells from the Gadget Lab. No wand required.

The Four-Part Prompt

Goal, context, source, expectations — say all four and Copilot stops guessing.

Reference a file with /

Type / and choose the document — Copilot reads that page, not the whole library.

Ask for a table

“Put that in a table with columns for owner, date and status.” Order, tidily conjured.
